Judy K Jackson

12/18/1949 - 07/18/2023

PLEASE RSVP IF YOU WILL ATTEND THE CELEBRATION OF LIFE!

Judy was born on December 18, 1949 to Juanita and L. Wayne States. On July 18, 2023 Judy passed on to be with Christ.  Judy was predeceased by her father, L. Wayne States, her mother, Juanita States, her sister Jeanne and her first son Darrell.  She is survived by her sons, Jerald S Jackson, his wife Danielle, their children (Ariana, Natalie and Logan) Rodney J Jackson, his wife Nabila Lisa, his children (Ethan, Evan, Easton and Eileen) their mother Ruth, and Judy's brother Larry States, his wife Eva and brother-in-law Clint Underwood, along with many nieces and nephews.

Judy's father, L. Wayne States, was a minister and much of her childhood was spent traveling across the United States between different pastorates and camp meetings.  Through these experiences, she developed friendships across the country that remained throughout her life.

Her sons remember her as the grounding force of their family.  She always ensured that they would have a place to live, food to eat and a school to attend.  Through her, they learned the meaning of a strong work ethic and the the importance of caring for their own children.  This exemplified to them how important an unselfish life was to those around them and laid the groundwork for  how her grandchildren would affect the world.

One of Judy's passions was the piano.  She also played the organ and accordion, but truly enjoyed playing piano for her church.  From church services to concerts and other events, she was always at her happiest when playing.

Judy's life culminated at Chardonnay Assisted Living facility in Twin Falls, Idaho, where she was remembered by staff and hospice members as someone who shared love and her faith.  A special thank you to the staff at Chardonnay, along with the staff at Visions Hospice in Twin Falls, ID, who helped ensure that Judy had a comfortable and smooth transition.

Of particular note, Judy's friend Joyce Sander Watkins was instrumental in ensuring that Judy had the best of care during her final days.   Joyce helped Judy until the end as a friend and former nurse, for which the family remains forever grateful.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that everyone please donate to your local church or favorite charity.

"He is in control.  He has a plan."
